Artur Văitoianu (n.1864 - d.1957), (în unele documente apare cu grafia "Arthur") a fost prim-ministru al României în anul 1919 (12 septembrie - 4 decembrie). În cursul mandatului său au avut loc primele alegeri din România Mare. Generalul Arthur Văitoianu este înmormântat la mausoleul de la Mărăşeşti, alături de mareşalul Alexandru Averescu. Generalul de corp de armată Artur Văitoianu a îndeplinit funcţia de comandant al Armatei a II-a (6 februarie - 1 mai 1918). În perioadele 21 aprilie - 30 iunie 1920 şi 1 octombrie 1920 - 24 martie 1921, generalul de corp de armată Artur Văitoianu a condus Comandamentul Trupelor de Vest, cantonate la Cluj.
